We believe that God has uniquely gifted each person in order to point others back to His loving character.
Therefore we encourage all of our church members to seek out ways to volunteer within the church. Are you a people person? Do you sing or play an instrument? Even if you just love to pour a cup of coffee with a smile on your face, there's a place for you to serve at HPBC.
Listed below are ministries with ongoing service opportunities
What's the first thing you do when inviting someone into your home? You greet them warmly at the door, help them get settled, and even give them a tour. Our building is our home, and we're looking for outgoing people who love to extend hospitality and help our visitors feel right more than welcome. If this sounds like you, please contact Lisa Fair at
Here at HPBC, we are all about family. That means we strive to provide a fun and safe atmosphere where our kids can learn about Jesus and grow in their faith. If you would like more information on how to help watch and love our kids, please contact Nancy Baughman at or Sue Reddypogu at
Our students are split between the Herd (Middle School) and the Crash (High School). Serving here involves pursuing these students in relational discipleship by leading a small group, going on retreats, and sometimes playing a little dodgeball. To learn how to start pouring into these kids lives please contact Kenneth Gabbert at for the Herd or Jeremy Einem at for the Crash.
Worshipping through song can help drive truth into the heart as we pour out our praise. At HPBC we work hard to provide moments of musical worship through many mediums. If you sing or play ANY instrument, be it flute or guitar, we can use your gifts. To volunteer or learn more please email Adam Holcomb at
As disciples of Jesus, we are passionate about those that He is passionate about; widows and orphans. If you would like to get involved in our 127 ministry or find out about opportunities to serve, call the church office at 248-357-5464, or email Brent Slater at
International Friends is a strategic outreach to the international student community in Southeastern Michigan, and is an opportunity for members and friends of HPBC to participate in building a relationship with students from around the world. Within two miles of our church, there are over 600 international students.
