2019 Events:

February 15 – Classical Kickoff
We will attend a Detroit Symphony Orchestra mid-morning concert featuring “Appalachia Spring” by Copeland; we have excellent, ground floor seats. Then we’ll stop by Slow’s Barbeque for lunch. ($68)

March 21 – Time for a Cookoff
We’ll have an exclusive opportunity to participate in the Mirepoix Cooking School at the Holiday Market, Royal Oak.  Supervised by professional chefs, we’ll be divided into groups to “duel” against each other in preparing a meal; then we’ll enjoy our creations. Opportunity to shop in this unique market.  ($77)

May 15 – Rochester Road Trip
First, we’ll enjoy a delicious meal at BRAVO Italiana Restaurant, and then we’ll see The Marvelous Wonderettes, a musical featuring 50s and 60s music at Meadowbrook.  ($65)

June 21 – Toledo Travels and Treats
We’ll enjoy a full day in Toledo with stops at the Toledo Museum of Art, lunch at the world-famous Tony Panko’s, the Canal Experience (boarding a replica of an 1800s canal boat pulled by a mule), supper at a unique restaurant, and ending the day at a Toledo Mud Hens game and fireworks. ($85) 

July 9 – A Day at Maranatha Bible Conference
We’ll be spending the day in Muskegon, attending the Bible conference with speakers Dr. Michael Rydelnik, professor of Jewish studies at Moody Bible Institute (AM), and Dr. Erwin Lutzer, former pastor of Moody Church (PM). Both of these men are outstanding speakers. We’ll also enjoy some of the sights of Muskegon in the afternoon. Meals included. ($85) 

August 15 – More Jewels of Detroit
A step-on guide will give us an overview of the history and uniqueness of Eastern Market with an opportunity to shop later. We’ll have lunch in downtown Detroit, and then we’ll board the boat, Diamond Jack’s, for a narrated tour along the Detroit River.  ($75)

October 16 – 19 – Our Nation’s Capital – Washington, D.C.
We will spend four days filled with historic and educational opportunities in Washington, DC.  Highlights include the Museum of the Bible, visits to all the monuments, Arlington Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a tour of the U.S. Capitol Building and so much more! This trip is being handled by Green Light Group Tours. You will be sent information from Green Light soon, and you can pay for this trip in installments throughout the year. The price will range from $750 to $1000 based on the number of people participating and number in room. The more participants the better the price. What an exciting trip! 

December 3 – Kellogg Manor House and Gilmore Car Museum
We will travel to Hickory Corners, MI (near Battle Creek) to tour the beautifully holiday-decorated manor  home of W. K. Kellogg.  We’ll learn about the house as well as have lunch at the Manor with a time for shopping at the Holiday Walk and Market within the house featuring handmade items from various vendors. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Gilmore Car Museum which houses one of the most extensive car collections in Michigan. ($80)
